TV2 Nominated for National Awards, Again!

TV2 KSU Dynamic - StackedTV2, Kent State’s student run television station, has been nominated for College Broadcasters, Inc., and College Media Association awards for the second year in a row.

It is truly an honor to have work nominated for national awards from the year I served as TV2 General Manager. A couple of articles are up on the JMC news page that discuss the nominations in detail. It is remarkable for TV2 to receive nominations from these two prestigious organizations. View the most recent article, for which I was fortunate enough to be interviewed, here.

I began working for TV2 as a freshman in college and did not stop until graduation. Throughout my tenure at the station, I worked as a news producer, director, webmaster, programming director, host of The Agenda and, in my final year, general manager.

After I completed my undergraduate degree, I decided to move on to serve on the School of Journalism and Mass Communication Media Board, a governing body which oversees all of student media. As such, I am ineligible to participate in TV2 or any other student medium in grad school in order to remain unbiased on the media board. I look back fondly on my time with TV2 and miss it very much.

Congratulations to all my fellow TV2ers from the 2012-2013 academic year! All of the hard work and dedication you all exhibited is paying off in a big way!
